China Media Capital (CMC), Shanghai Media Group (SMG), Warner Bros, Brett Ratner backed Ratpac Entertainment as well as advertising giant WPP have announced a fund that they will jointly invest in called China Creative Fund (CFF). The fund will focus on investment in Chinese language projects in the areas of film, TV and live events. According to a release, projects invested in by the fund would also be distributed globally by the various partners. Local reports have the amount pledged by the entities totaling more than US$500 million.
